Becky began her children’s yoga journey as she noticed that children were having a difficult time in school regulating their body for learning. She realized that introducing yoga and breathing first thing in the morning helped children calm down for the entire day. She found that specific yoga poses such as “ Tree” and “ Eagle” made a big difference in writing and spelling. When she retired from teaching Becky began her journey of certification through Yoga Calm® program out of St Paul MN. Yoga Calm ® is a socially emotionally based yoga program developed by social workers. The program is designed for schools and hospitals with a big emphasis on mental health with adolescence and trauma situations. Becky’s certification has taken her into teaching young children yoga along with teaching teachers how to integrate yoga into their classrooms. She lives in Sauk City WI, and enjoys yoga walking, swimming, and playing with her 2 kittens.
