We believe that creating opportunities to be physically active, engage our imaginations and laugh in the presence of others is a critical part of staying healthy and sane these days. We’ve thought long and hard and gained practical experience through our summer season of smaller, physically distanced but still fantastic Wild Rumpus Circus Camps. We think the best use of our time and talents, our spacious old building and its beautiful surroundings at this time is to host custom classes that are tailored to individuals, small groups and families who wish to keep up their existing circus practices or try something new, physical and fun while still observing current public health recommendations.
We can provide instruction and practice space for aerial arts (trapeze, silks, slings, lyra), tightwire walking, stilt walking, juggling and object manipulation, German wheel, physical comedy, clowning, pantomime and more. Our maximum group size is 8 persons. For an aerial-only class, the maximum is 4 persons. You/your group will the sole users of our entire, 3800 sq ft. building. We will ensure that there is ample ventilation before, during and after your lesson. We’ll be wearing face coverings indoors, and keeping things extra clean, with no use of shared apparatus except between family members. We’ve also got lots of activities that can happen outside, and a wonderful set of surroundings for outdoor instruction and exploration.
Pricing depends upon group size, duration and how many circus arts you’d like to explore. Our minimum charge is $125, for a 90 minute class and up to four students working in a single circus art. We are happy to design classes for a larger groups, longer duration and multiple disciplines.
